Rub of the Green
For over two decades, the Rub of the Green Captain’s Choice Golf Tournament has stood as one of Lancaster County’s most anticipated traditions—a powerful blend of business, community, and a little bit of luck on the green.

What Is It?
Held annually each fall, this signature event brings together Chamber members, community leaders, and local golf enthusiasts for a day of friendly competition, relationship building, and giving back. Set against the backdrop of Lancaster’s beautiful golf courses, teams of four enjoy 18 holes in a relaxed Captain’s Choice format—perfect for players of all skill levels.
But Rub of the Green is more than just a day on the course.
As a key fundraising initiative for the Lancaster County Chamber, proceeds from the tournament directly support the Chamber’s year-round mission to foster growth, enhance member visibility, advocate for business-friendly policy, and champion community engagement efforts across the region.
From hole sponsors and prize contests to networking on the fairway and the ever-popular post-play awards ceremony, Rub of the Green offers countless ways for businesses to connect with potential customers, deepen professional relationships, and showcase their brand in a fun, engaging environment.
Why “Rub of the Green”?
Borrowed from a golf term meaning “a stroke of luck,” the name is a nod to both the camaraderie and unpredictability of the game—and a reminder that sometimes, a little good fortune goes a long way when paired with strategy and teamwork.
Whether you're a seasoned golfer, a new Chamber member, or simply looking to get your brand in front of a broad and engaged audience, the Rub of the Green is a can't-miss opportunity to tee up for business success.
