Priorities
Program of Work
The Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce works diligently for your business and helps to ensure the long-term viability of our community. We are a member-driven organization and exist to help businesses be successful and to advocate on their behalf. We coordinate and lead advocacy efforts, provide business resources, and support professional development.
The Chamber’s program of work is designed to deliver value to our members using four specific focus areas: business development, advocacy, community development, and member development. When developing our short- and long-term priorities, our goal is to tie our initiatives to these four focus areas. We believe that by helping individual members through these focus areas, we build a stronger, more resilient, and vibrant business community.
Provide programs to market and retain business in Lancaster County and to use member expertise and resources in support of existing business growth and prosperity. The Chamber assists entrepreneurs and companies seeking to expand/relocate to Lancaster County. We do this through collaboration with other organizations on business initiatives, community improvement, maintaining a positive business climate, and encouraging balanced and sustainable growth.
Serve as the voice of the business community in matters of public policy. The Chamber, through its Public Policy Committee, identifies and studies legislative and regulatory trends which may affect the business community today and in the future. The Chamber works with legislators and government entities on policy and legislation that benefit Chamber members to create a better business climate to benefit all.
We love our community and work hard to help design and create an awareness of, and to put into action, programs to improve the quality of life for all citizens of Lancaster County. We accomplish this through business partnerships, education, leadership development, and volunteerism.
The Chamber exists to serve our members! We offer approximately 30 networking events annually, marketing opportunities to showcase our members and a social media network that reaches over 15,000 viewers per month! The Chamber connects new members with existing members, ensures all members are aware of the benefits of Chamber membership, and constantly explores adding new benefits for Chamber members.
