Grant Program
The purpose of the Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Grant Program is to stimulate entrepreneurism, encourage small business growth in Lancaster County, and to support community-minded service organizations including local nonprofits.
The Chamber of Commerce will award two $1,000 grants to Chamber member organizations based on the merits of their application in two categories.
APPLICATION WINDOW:
Grants will be awarded following this application window:
- The 2025 application window opens Friday, August 1st and ends September 15th.
- Grants will be awarded October 15th, 2025
APPLICATION SUBMISSION PROCESS

- All applicants will receive notification regarding the status of their application, whether or not they are selected for funding.
Revitalization & Storefront Improvement Grant
- This grant is designed for small businesses in high-traffic or underdeveloped areas needing exterior improvements.
- Grant proceeds will be used to enhance curb appeal, attract more customers, and contribute to the overall revitalization efforts of the business.
Business Acceleration Grant
- This grant is designed for businesses that are minority, veteran, or women-owned whose owners are seeking support for expansion, marketing, equipment, or operational needs.
- The intent is to strengthen the local business community by fostering opportunities for historically underrepresented
GRANT PROCEDURES
Selection and Review
Grants will be reviewed by the Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Director’s Executive Committee and selected based on 3 criteria including:

- Need (40%) – Does the business have limited access to funding?
- Impact (30%) – How will the grant benefit the business and community?
- Feasibility (30%) – Does the plan make sense? Can they implement it?
ELIGIBILITY
- Applicant’s business must be a current Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce member in good standing.
- Applicant’s business/main office must be in areas zoned appropriately for their use.
- Applicants’ business must have an EIN, and an established bank account separate from any personal accounts.
Grant Proceeds Shall NOT Be Used for the Following:
- Re-granting funds and/or utilizing funds to cover a product or service that would be donated by the business.
- Purposes other than what is described in the applicant’s submitted proposal.
- Purchase of equipment or improvement of real estate, intended for personal use.
- Political activities.
- Owner salary, or any payroll (wages/salary) expenses.
